18 Entrants Will Compete in the 2011 International Chronometry ContestsharetweetshareFourteen watchmaking companies and four schools will have fun playing the 2011 International Chronometry Contest. The very first officially-sanctioned timekeeping competition in 37 years took place during 2009 when 16 timepieces were entered a single category, each competing against the mediocre ones. For 2011, competition may be modified with the contestants split into three groups: traditional movements, tourbillons, and watchmaking schools.In the competition, the timepieces are subjected to a variety of tests that happen to be depending on international standards, and this less difficult more rigorous than the well-known Official Swiss Control of Chronometers (COSC) tests. Measurements is going to be completed in officially-certified laboratories in Besancon, Bienne and Le Locle.
